As an art educator, I strive to cultivate a dynamic and supportive learning environment where students develop confidence in their creative voices. By emphasizing Artistic Behaviors, I encourage independent thinking, creative problem-solving, and meaningful self-expression. I encourage students to experiment, embrace mistakes as part of the creative process, and view revision as an opportunity for discovery and growth. My interdisciplinary approach integrates aesthetics, art history, art criticism, and art production, helping students make connections across disciplines while deepening their understanding and appreciation of diverse artistic traditions. Through student-centered learning, I empower students with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to think critically, take creative risks, and develop their own artistic identities.
